Julia Denise Smith's Arrival | Photos

It was one of the coolest things I have been able to be a part of, let alone one of the coolest things I have ever watched.

Taylor and Corey Smith welcomed their sweet little girl, Julia, into the world yesterday afternoon. She was born at 2:43PM on December 15, 2015 (ironically, Papa Bear called the exact time she would be born - just like her mom, at 2:43AM).

I cried...the entire time (quietly, don't worry!). A little embarrassed, yes, but it was so sweet. This was the coolest thing I have ever seen. God LITERALLY placed that child in her womb, and now He was preparing her exit into this crazy world.

The room was filled with all of the people that love this little girl most. People that are actively choosing to take part in not only watching her grow, but helping her learn and live.

Taylor and Corey have prayed for this sweet 9 lb. 2 oz child for longer than most would have patience for. But they TRUSTED in the Lord. And now look at them. "Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His lovingkindness is everlasting."

I wish I could convey the joy that is exploding out of my heart right now.

Not many can say that they have experienced watching live birth:  watching a mother give everything she has, push with all of her power and might to allow her child to enter into the world. No one else in that room could do it. She was the only one. And SHE DID IT!

I am so proud of my friend. I am so honored to have been granted privilege to be there for Julia's birth. Welcome to the world sweet Jules! You are so loved and so well provided for.

You are so blessed Taylor and Corey. There will be many people to tell you to soak it up now, because it doesn't last, but I hate that. NOTHING here lasts. We are all here for only a fleeting moment, before Jesus calls his children home. But these moments you have with her, you WILL cherish.

Time will pass perfectly, just as the sweet Lord has planned it for us.
