WHAT DO I GET AS A FINAL PRODUCT?
You will receive a flash drive containing the edited video and raw files. You will also have the link of the video hosted on my Vimeo page for sharing on social media.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
Of course we do! We go where you go. We can work out a special package to arrange for travel details.
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS?
Cash, check or Venmo (@mbchamp). We offer payment through PayPal with an added 3% for processing. I require a $500 non-refundable deposit made at time of booking: this secures your date! The balance of payment can be made in any increments or installments, but final payment is required 14 days before the ceremony. Payment by check made out to: Mary Bess Champion and mailed to the address listed in the contract.
HOW DO I BOOK YOU? WHEN?
When you have decided that we are the ones, shoot over an email. I will reply with a link to my Booking Submission Form. This has all of the required information that I will need from you in order to write up your contract. Once you have received the final contract, please sign and return (scan via email or snail mail) along with your deposit.
WHY DO YOU USE A SECOND SHOOTER?
So we can cover twice as much! It looks nice to be able to cut back and forth between two shots instead of a single view for the entire event. Imagine your ceremony...with only the groom's face on camera. How unfair! Wouldn't you like to be able to see how teary-eyed you got during your vows as well? So do we. Having two videographers allows for us to use a 3-camera setup so that we do not miss anything!
WHEN DO I GET MY FINAL VIDEO?
Our standard contract is set to 90 days from the date of the wedding. We have à la carte options for next day edits or a two-week turnaround. (Why you get your photos back before the video? Video editing takes much longer to edit and render!)
WHY DO YOU GIVE THE RAW FOOTAGE?
It is my personal belief that everything we capture on your big day is just that....YOURS. We reserve the right to use the footage for the promotion of this business, but you deserve the right to use it, too! There is an entire night of dancing, celebrating and memories being made; not all of that can make it on the edited clip. It sure is nice to have the raw footage to go back and watch how silly your guests were, or which grandparents were still around for the ceremony. Trust me, it is sweet to see Grammy sitting in the crowd and making her way to the dance floor. You don't always get to revisit these moments in just your edited footage. I believe this is the icing on the cake.
WHICH CAMERA DO I LOOK AT ON THE WEDDING DAY?
Always look at the photographer, not at the videographer. Your photographer will be directing you to look at her (or him!), and we agree. We are to be ignored! (Trust me, it looks better this way!)
DO YOU HAVE VENDOR RECOMMENDATIONS?
Yes! Please see the VENDORS page. We recommend choosing people that we love already!
DO YOU TAKE GETTING READY FOOTAGE?
We absolutely can! When you book us for coverage your time can start whenever you say it does. We can coordinate what times best cover your needs.
DO YOU ALSO TAKE PHOTOS?
Unfortunately, no. My focus is solely on video. We do offer 10% off if you book one of our preferred photographers.
ARE YOU LICENSED AND INSURED?
WORSE-CASE SCENARIO, DO YOU HAVE A BACKUP IN CASE SOMETHING TERRIBLE HAPPENS?
Of course we do! It has yet to happen, but just in case we always have backups that we stand behind!
SHOULD WE ADD YOU TO OUR DINNER HEADCOUNT?
Yes, please add us to the headcount! We always tell our clients to add two people to their dinner headcount. We will be eating just after the bridal party eats and before the guests eat. This ensures that we are eating when nothing else is going on and so we are able to finish up at the same time the bridal party does. This is the best way for us to ensure coverage. (Please inform the venue of this requirement as some wish for the vendors to eat last.)
